The Lakeview Community Library is very excited to announce our Random Memories: Empowering Individual and Community Memory in Random Lake, Wisconsin project.
The library will be partnering with several organizations and neighboring communities, including the Random Lake Historical Society, our community newspaper The Sounder, and the Random Lake High School to train and provide technical assistance to community members to collect and digitize personal and community narratives and materials. The library will also use activities such as day trips to neighboring communities’ historical societies, community scan days, and lectures to build the capacity of library staff and community members to capture and preserve local stories and memories in their rapidly changing community.
